| Here are some mid-sized beveled clusters for use in windows, doors,
room dividers, etc. If a setting such as an entryway has multiple panels
(separate window openings), these can be combined with other clusters or
beveled shapes to create an effective design.
The letters "GC" at the end of a catalog number indicate that the surface of each beveled piece has been "glue-chipped", a process that adds a frost-on-the-window type texture to the face (only) of each beveled piece. This allows a beveled look but with a lot more privacy than with bevels that are not glue-chipped . The actual beveled edges of each glue-chipped piece of glass remain clear, untextured glass. However, these edges are at an angle to the plane of the window and thus add to the privacy factor in a different way. Clusters that come glue-chipped usually come in non-glue-chipped versions as well, and are usually shown next to each other. While most of these clusters are meant to "stand alone", some are designed with the option of being combined with other clusters of the same series in order to make larger, more unique clusters. One example of this are the clusters starting with "HCC". These clusters all have a small curve-sided diamond piece in them, allowing two clusters to be combined by removing one of their common diamond shapes. Examples of this can be seen on the Mix-n-Match beveled options page. |
