This is a copper foiled lamp, although this one is more decorative than functional. The 3-dimensional seashell sits on a walnut base (hard to see in this photo), and houses two 15-watt bulbs. This piece is unusual in that I never made any paper patterns from which to cut the glass... I simply cut and fit each piece by trial and error. A few years after I made this piece, a simplified version of it appeared as a kit for hobbyists. I have also made many other stained glass lamps, more akin to the traditional "Tiffany" style.
