Here is another example of
several popular ideas in stained glass... no color and not
expensive. This swivel-opening round window is mounted in one
of the bedrooms of a fantastic log home in the mountains of Colorado.
Unfortunately, a road passes close by this window and total privacy was
needed. Also, this window is the only source of natural light in this
bedroom, so maximum daylight penetration was needed as well. Both of
these needs were satisfied by the choice of textured, colorless
glasses, which unfortunately don't show at all well here (same old
story!). You'll just have to believe me when I tell you that the tree
is a frosted clear glass with a pine needles pattern, the mountains are
"wide" glue chipped glass, and the sky is a swirly clear glass. All
that for under $500 installed! |
