| Here is a custom beveled glass window for a wine cellar
door in a home that uses gothic design in it's architecture and
furnishings. The interior designer who owns this home picked this
design from six drawings that I developed for her. I decided to display
a pre-installation photo here since the final setting of this beveled
glass artwork deep in the bowels of this home (actually, only the
basement) left too little light to get a good photo. The beveling is
1/2" wide on 3/16" plate glass. The window is leaded with 3/16" wide
lead came. Working with custom bevels requires grinding each piece to
the exact size during the process of leading the window together. Not
many beveled glass artists go to the effort of re-grinding each piece
for an exact fit. I think the final look is worth the effort!
