Here is a set of stained glass
doors with a contemporary kokopelli design, created for a home in
Colorado Springs, Colorado. These artworks were mounted into two
interior doors that, when opened, looked down from a second-story study
onto the main foyer of the home.
This door set is a good example of how a traditional (and overdone!) theme can be given a fresh look. Although the designs in both doors are mirror images of one another, the placement of colored and textured glasses was varied to add greater dimension to the artwork. (I submitted designs that were colored symetrically as well as ones that weren't, and the clients chose the one they liked best.) |
