
The photo of this
freestanding screen, or room divider, was taken in the park because
this artwork would never take a good picture indoors. The blue glass
used in the waterfall is slightly curved. Since some of those pieces
are over two feet long, they had to stick out at the top in order to
make the bottom fit into the wood frame. This happy accident gave the
waterfall a three-dimensional look that added a lot of charm and
interest to the artwork as a whole.
I have won several awards at craft shows and glass shows for this artwork. I am not an expert at woodworking, so I collaborate with other qualified craftspeople whenever the need arises. The wood frame on this piece is made of koa and paduk veneers over high-quality plywood. |
