Above
is a recent entryway I did for a home in Denver, Colorado. The owners
of this new home were very specific about the southwestern themes they
wanted to consider for these windows. The final design chosen was a
combination of two designs I developed for them... They picked the
saguaro cactus from one design and the giant kokopelli from another
design. Although it never would have occurred to me to develop a design
that incorporated both of these themes, we all thought the two ideas
fit well together in the final artwork. This is a good example of how I
continue to learn about the process of designing stained glass from my
clients input. I try to remain as open as possible to whatever my
clients have to say.
Here, too, is another example of how (eight) separate spaces can be tied together effectively into one artwork. |
